I loved this dress when I first saw it on Anthropologie's website and I knew it was my dress as soon as I zipped it up in store. The majority of the dress is a stretch mesh - which I hadn't seen in any other dresses. What this means is that it hugs your torso and arms, but stretches with you so it's really comfortable (and gives you a little wiggle room to potentially avoid alterations!). I loved how romantic the bodice is, which it's peachy base color, lace, and then criss-crossed mesh overlay. It's understated sexy. The bodice does have some boning in it to create structure and a beautiful shape. I also really loved the movement of the skirt. The underskirt is a peachy color that is topped with a layer of ivory tulle and then a gathered layer of the same ivory stretch mesh used in the rest of the dress. I wish my pictures showed just how full and effortless the skirt is. (Check out the designer's website for these: I had a city hall wedding, I removed the train, so the dress is an even length to the floor. I am 5'6" and wore 4" heels on my wedding day.
I haven't had the dress professionally cleaned since I only wore it for a few hours between City Hall and dinner afterwards. I didn't dance or sweat in it. :) There is only some slight wear to the hem of the dress from the dirt and dust of City Hall's floor. I'm happy to share additional photos upon request.
